Mac is breaking the law, "sinning on weekday", driving drunk and basically doing everything you shouldn't because of drugs. Mac wakes up, he barely understands whats going on, he is literally hearing backwards (during the intro we can hear "So hey, it's the morning, and you gotta go to work" played backwards), he even gets yelled at, maybe because of his bad habits. This could be used as an idea of being half awake and listening to this voice message, this could be even more obvious with the fact that by listening to the outro we hear Mac and his friend wake up, it's time for him to go to work. This is literally a voice message he sent during the holidays, since he hadn't heard anything from Mac. We can hear a voice message from Mac's brother, Miller McCormick. Next up we got Perfect Circle and God Speed. As he says, "Trippin now, everything straight", he is feeling at his best, making money and overall doing great.

Very deep angelic song a beautiful, yet sad song. Confessing his true feelings towards his ex girlfriend, which he wanted to marry at one point, but was turned down. ROS, to keep it short is Mac's next dreaming about being on stage in front of the crowd. Very cold-blooded, but we would hear in the next song how vulnerable he truly is. It gives the feeling as if he had lost his feelings or emotions. As the song is close to an end we hear Dj Clockwork talking to himself tripping balls with Mac (as he would confirm on Twitter).Ĭut the Check in a couple of words is Mac (possibly in his dream) talking about how much of a man he is, and how he isn't worried about anything, a very braggadocious song. As this song ends Mac tells us how him and Jerm had gotten to a "new high" doing "this" a couple of times, maybe half dead half dead. During this song Mac let's us know how terrified he is. As it continues to play we get this feeling that Mac is really between heaven and hell, a dream and a nightmare, living or dying. As the song fades out we hear some type of popping, maybe some popcorn from The Festival Mac wanted go to.Īs Ascension starts we hear someone who's feeling remorse or feeling sorry. The song in thematically is the complete opposite from Colors and Shapes (from faces).
The next song Jump, is literally about falling asleep and flying in his dreams and it has Mac wondering about where will he wake up. When suddenly we hear a voice that's telling Mac that the album was lit. If we listen to the album backwards we start by listening to The Festival, which on the surface is about Mac wanting to go to this so called Festival, as the song ends we start to hear it slowly fade away getting, getting distant as if it was falling down a well, as if we were falling asleep. First of all sorry for my english and second, this is just a theory I have thinking about lately, maybe somethings just don't make sense, but it's just something I thought of sharing.
